However, there may be a family history. 25% of people diagnosed with ADHD have someone close to them in their family environment who also has ADHD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Usually the educator is the first to recognize ADHD in the child and talk to the parents, thanks to their experience of how each child responds in the classroom. In turn, the parents turn to a pediatrician or a specialist psychiatrist who will diagnose the child, observing his behavior.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no other type of diagnostic test for children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For adults, however, a simple test was developed by an advisory committee of the World Health Organization in collaboration with independent psychiatrists, based on the newest criteria for diagnosing the disorder and consisting of 6 basic questions. A study of this test has been published in the journal Jama Physiatry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As we said, the ADHD diagnosis test for adults consists of 6 questions. These are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> How often do you find it difficult to concentrate on what is being said to you, even if someone is speaking directly to you?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> How often do you get up from your seat in situations where you are required to remain still for a long time (eg during a business meeting)?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> How often do you find it difficult to wind down or relax in your free time?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>4<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. When having a conversation, how often do you find yourself finishing the other person&#8217;s sentences before they can?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> How often do you put off your obligations until the last minute?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> How often do you find yourself depending on others to organize your life or meet your obligations?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The answers that can be given show the frequency: \u201cnever\u201d which gets 0 points, \u201crarely\u201d which gets 1 point, \u201csometimes\u201d which gets 2 points, \u201coften\u201d which gets 3 points and \u201cvery often\u201d which gets 4 grades. If answering these questions you have a score of 14 points or more, you should seek a specialist for the final diagnosis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to research, 4% of adults have ADHD.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>ADHD types &amp; symptoms<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are three types of ADHD:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The dominant type of attention deficit<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The dominant type of hyperactivity \u2013 impulsivity<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The combination formula of the two dominant formulas<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Symptoms of the dominant type of attention deficit disorder are:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Has anxiety about time-consuming tasks, which require attention and detail<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Misses deadlines<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Forgets appointments<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seems like he doesn&#8217;t pay attention to others<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Procrastinates all the time<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Has a poor relationship with time<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Loses things<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Does not keep promises<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gets tired easily when something lasts for a long time, whether it is a conversation or work<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keeps losing things<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>The symptoms of the dominant type of hyperactivity-impulsivity are:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Constantly changes position, often goes to the toilet, cannot stay still in one position for a long time<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talks constantly, interrupts others<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He seems to be in a constant motion and never relaxes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gets irritated when he has to wait for others<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He says things, without thinking about them, which then put him in a difficult position<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Often violates others&#8217; boundaries<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keeps starting different new hobbies and activities that he does not complete<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seeks adrenaline, and creates dramas to live it<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Has frequent mood swings, gets angry easily, shows symptoms of depression and low self-esteem<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Obviously, the symptoms of the combined type are the symptoms of both types.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the documentary &#8220;Shine a light &#8211; Understanding ADHD&#8221; Bryn Travers who has the disorder describes his life with a phrase that says it all &#8220;I feel like a universe, crammed into a shoebox&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>How the person with ADHD interacts with others<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have the above symptoms, you already know it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Relationships with others can range from difficult to downright disastrous.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How easy is it for someone in family, friendship and work to show tolerance when you seem to not pay attention to them, when you don&#8217;t keep the promises you make, when you are late and have your own frenetic pace, when you get angry from one moment to the next? Not much!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because of this, it is likely to be particularly difficult to maintain your relationships, and you may often need to form new relationships or look for new jobs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This reality is even more difficult if you have not been diagnosed with ADHD and no one knows that many of the things you feel and do are symptoms of this disorder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Without this knowledge, it is natural to appear to others that you are just indifferent and in your own world.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>ADHD and SOCIAL MEDIA<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is even more difficult to diagnose ADHD in the modern world of social media, where more and more people lose the power to concentrate on one point, since they are constantly bombarded by notifications and advertisements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, a measured use of them is needed, so that the already aggravated symptoms do not worsen.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>The importance of a good educational system<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children with ADHD see the world differently and learn differently. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beyond the symptoms of ADHD they have many gifts and possibilities. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A pedagogical system is good when it supports children with ADHD, and knows how to reduce their barriers to learning and how to promote their virtues. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After all, one of the first things we learn in life is that we are all different and there cannot be one right way or one approach for everyone. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A good educator will inspire the greatest progress in any child regardless of whether they have ADHD or not.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Treatment \u2013 \u200b\u200bMethods of treatment<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After diagnosis by the specialist, medication can be given. As far as children are concerned, the cooperation of educators and parents is important. For adults, it is good that medication is supplemented by counseling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other ways to deal with it are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">exercise. If you have ADHD, you are hyperactive and definitely need to release some of your excess energy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">good nutrition, starting with a good breakfast that supports you throughout the day and stimulates your attention.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">order in the space, because clutter creates even more lack of attention.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stopping medication or stopping counselling.
